What we collect
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It's cookieless: it doesn't set anything in your browser, and it doesn't track you across visits or other websites. Cloudflare processes your IP address briefly to generate anonymous, aggregated traffic statistics, then discards it. If you play the puzzle in A Very Cheesy Escape, your progress is stored in your browser's session storage, not a cookie, and is deleted automatically when you close the tab.
Legal basis
We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used for the cookieless analytics described above. This is exempt from consent requirements under the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act (ekomloven) §3-15, because it's strictly necessary to deliver and measure the website. The same exemption covers the puzzle's session storage.
Retention
Analytics data is aggregated and anonymous; we don't retain anything that identifies you individually. Session storage disappears the moment you close the tab.
